I’ve never hosted a themed party myself. Yours sounded like fun and that idea of having people chip in to participate was genius because they’d have more of an incentive to attend.
My friends even flake from organised events and it feels so crummy. I'm the only one who is single and i just feel at a very different stage to them. Like they have their 'own lives' so they don't need me anymore.
