I've received so many wonderful, thoughtful gifts throughout my life, for which I'm very grateful. A particular one that I'm thinking of right now is a big, soft, cozy cardigan that an old friend of mine sent me in the mail for Christmas last year. I wear that cardigan almost every day! It's one of the most useful gifts I've ever gotten! :)

That's the best! And every time you wear it, I'm sure you think of her 😊

My first Christmas married, I had to work. When I got home, my husband walked over to the dryer and pulled out my pajamas which he had put in 10 minutes prior so that they'd be warm for me.

I stand by the fact that it's the most romantic thing anyone has ever done for me.

On a historical tour group that my family and I went on when I was very young, we met a family that was extremely sweet. On the last day of the tour, the mother of that family gave me 5 dresses she sewed. She had always wanted a daughter (which is why she sewed the dresses), but God gave her a son. She wanted some girl to enjoy them, and I did until I outgrew them! She is my best friend and like a second mother to me! (Hopefully this long story makes sense)

For our first year anniversary my boyfriend (now fiance) bought me my favorite perfume & a beautiful bouquet of my favorite flowers. He told me he wanted me to wear that perfume for our wedding, and immediately got down on one knee and proposed. A beautiful gift & memory as well.

At the end of 2020, my PCOS had advanced to endometrial cancer. I had to have a D&C in January of 2021. Now, my insurance is PROUD to charge < $300 for a D&C performed as an abortion. But to remove an ACTUAL clump of cells that was going to kill me and had already required a blood transfusion? After insurance, still almost $4k. My parents didn’t think they would get WuFlu stimulus checks, and they didn’t need them, so they cut a check to me for the amount they got so I could pay off the procedure. (My oncologist wants to do the procedure again, but I told him that, unless he finds Something in an endometrial biopsy or is willing to pay for the surgery, not happening 😑)
