I love my mother's name, Catherine. It sounds so elegant.

I went to a summer camp about Strategic Intelligence (i.e. spying and going undercover), and each camper had a pretend alias for the week; mine was Mia Vance. Although I did not choose the name, I ended up liking it!

Love your discussion questions, they are so much fun!

When I was a kid I wanted to name my future child Vanessa, so that's one. I also like gemstone names like Jade, Gemma, or Ruby. So I'd probably rename myself to one of the above!

I have an aunt named Jean, actually! I love Elizabeth, Maria, or Sarah... Those are such beautiful, classic names!

I think I’d just go with my middle name, Elizabeth. My first name is short, though I do like it and I like the story behind it. I think longer first names sound elegant, especially when you insist that the full name be used.

I’ve been fond of the name Irene lately. I use it as a pseudonym online. It used to be different names, like Mina, Mika, Clara Jean, Lola, Ariella. I’m still quite fond of those names.

I have no idea, but I think I would give myself a unique name....a name that is not super popular like Emily.

My name is so popular in my Country for my age...in High School there were several Emily's in my year and other Emily's in other years.

I was always Emily so and so because we had to add something to make the distinction.

This is why I will be naming my children with a unique name, so they can stand out.

My middle name is Jean! For a while, I was spelling it Jeanne, to look more fancy. Why? Like anyone cares how my middle name looks. I switched back when I found out it was the name of my dad’s favorite cousin. Anyway, when I was young, I wanted to be “Lisa,” which was a pretty popular Gen X name.
