I am from Chicago and live on the far southwest side of Chicago, so I don't get excited about snow because I am so used to it. It can be quite a challenge at times when it is icy and snows over and over again and you have to wear parkas and snow boots for months. As for mice I went through quite a "mousey" period of my life at my first solo apartment that was a near a creek. It constantly had mice and I lived on the THIRD floor. I probably caught 6-8 mice each year. My Dad taught me to set up the traps. The apartment I live in now I NEVER get mice, the building is much better built. I feel your pain. I had many hours jumping around the furniture of my old apartment to avoid the floor when mice were running around. I have caught enough mice myself for several lifetimes. It is much less stressful living without mice!!!
