I just finished a House of Windsor documentary because I felt a bit clueless (apart from the pop culture knowledge of the royal family) and I learned so much. I might need to read a book now so if anyone here has a good recommendation on anything about the house of Windsor or even further back please let me know!
I think a great lesson from Queen Elizabeth II is that often times doing less and saying less can make much of a bigger impact and be much louder than causing any sort of a scene. An example would be the bowing of her head when Diana’s casket passed while her sister beside her would not. A layered gesture given the relationship between QEII and the former princess. (This honestly might not be the best example, there are many)
I think if your morals are strong and you carry yourself with grace they way she did, you never have to raise your voice to be heard because you’ll already be respected.
I think Queen Elizabeth showed so much class when there was gossip tabloids about her marriage or family problems. She still stood her ground and didn't let any of those issues interfere her duties as Queen. I think as women we can be just as strong as her while maintaining a classic life.
I am going to miss HM the Queen so much. Her class, grace and style are timeless. One of my favorite things about the Queen was her ' Never complain, never explain" attitude. When people said falsehoods about her or the Royal Family she NEVER gave them the time of day. I think that is a very hard thing to do when someone is saying slanderous things about you and your family.. the knee jerk response is to call the person out on the lie and correct it with the truth. Though her way WAS the best way, she never acknowledged the disrespect or felt the need to defend her actions. She knew what the truth was and let it all come out naturally.
Being a Dog Mom is not being a Real Mom--as Abby has noted! Yet the Queen understood the power that having a pet around can ease tension with visitors during fraught moments. There are many stories of her asking her secretaries to make sure that her dogs were around when she was visiting with children.

I think she showed how to balance duty and the meaningful work of leading her country with the (also very important) work of raising a family
