This weekend, Jacob and I are attending a good friend’s wedding. We have been to many weddings in the three years we have been married, and each one has been lovely and unique in its own way. Black-tie and dressy, summery and casual – no matter the setting, two people committing their lives to one another is a beautiful thing to behold.

I recently saw an amazing trick on Instagram that has changed my wardrobe! What is it, you ask? Putting a tank top OVER my dresses! Sometimes I’ll look at my dresses and think, “I wish I could make the top more fitted without resorting to wearing a belt.” My initial thought was to wear a vest…but vests can look really outdated. So when I saw this trick, I was so excited! Put a tank top over your dresses and knot it at the waist and all of a sudden you look completely put together. My tank tops are from Kohl’s and are perfect for this because they’re reversible!
Things I’ve Been Loving: Plant-Based Straws
Do you hate paper straws? Same here. They get soggy in about a minute and they’re just gross. And as we are getting into the warmer months, we’ll all want to be sipping on iced coffee or a cold soft drink. Well, if you don’t want to use plastic straws, these plant-based straws are a wonderful alternative! They feel exactly like normal straws but they’re better for the environment.
