Classic Style Inspo
An eyelet top, a pair of dark-wash jeans, and white sneakers are the perfect casual-yet-put-together combo! Of course, Kate Middleton looks adorable with her three children, but anyone can wear this look, even if you’re not a princess.
Things I’ve Been Loving: Bubba Water Bottle
I know everyone on the internet is obsessed with Stanley tumblers, but I personally love my bubba water bottle. It’s WAAAAAY cheaper, but I love that I can sip out of it without the straw or with it. It keeps my drink cold all day and it holds a ton of water.

5 Wonderful Gifts for Mother’s Day!
Hello wonderful friends! How are you? It’s been quite a busy time for me! First, the day we got back from our Passover trip, I got hit with the worst bout of food poisoning I can remember! I couldn’t even keep ice down. Thank God, I was able to make it through the night and recover the next day since I had to sing in a concert the following Tuesday. The concert was for Yom Hashoah, the day of remembrance for the Holocaust, which was so meaningful.
Now, I’m getting ready for two speeches I’m giving for the Young America’s Foundation! First, I’ll be speaking in Missouri at Truman State University, and then I’ll be speaking in New York at Stonybrook University. I haven’t really traveled in quite some time, so I’m gearing up for that, and I’ll be leaving Mr. Baby with my husband and my mother while I’m gone. It will be my first time without him, which is so difficult, but it’s good for him to know he has other people in his life who love him and care for him. I definitely won’t make a habit of traveling away from my son, but I think it’s good for children to sleep over at their grandparents or their cousins and learn that everything will be okay. It will probably be harder for me than it will be for him!
This year is flying by and it’s almost Mother’s Day! I personally love Mother’s Day because I feel like it’s a holiday I’ve earned. I gave birth to my son, I take care of him every day, and I’m excited to celebrate! I also love celebrating the other mothers in my life - my mother, my mother-in-law, my sisters, and my friends. Mothers work so hard day in and day out. Why shouldn’t we have a day to recognize that?
So today, I’m going to share five gifts I’d love that I think other mothers might love to. And feel free to share your gift ideas in the comments below!
This year, I’m really interested in stackable birthstone rings! With God’s help, Jacob and I will have more than one child, and I’d love to start wearing rings with each of their birthstones stacked on one of my fingers. I love that these are real gold so they won’t get ruined over time and that they’re unique to each child.
I will always love a Mama sweatshirt. They are so comfortable and easy to throw on, and adorable to boot! I adore this sweatshirt - it’s unique and you can even get the names of your children embroidered along the collar. How cute!
Okay, I already know that I mentioned this in today’s newsletter, but I seriously love it as an idea for Mother’s Day! I’m always thirsty, and I love having a nice water bottle to drink out of. This hits the spot for me! Now, you can always get the Stanley if you want to splurge - but if you’re looking for something different, I highly recommend this tumbler.
Say it with me: every mom needs a massage. Seriously. Just one hour where you can allow someone to work those knots out of your back and shoulders from carrying your little ones around all day - that’s an amazing gift. I highly recommend this if you want to give your mother a little break that she’ll love!
House-cleaning service.
How sweet is it to give the mother in your life a day off from cleaning the house? I know that I would love for someone to come and mop my floors today! Giving the gift of a clean house is such a thoughtful and practical gift, and no mother will say no - I guarantee!
Let me know what you’re looking forward to for Mother’s Day, whether that be celebrating your mother or being celebrated yourself!
These are such great and practical -- yet fun -- ideas. I love the rise in (real) female massage therapists in the US as they provide such a safe and relaxing service for moms, hopeful moms to be (like me) and grandmothers. There is a way to prioritize family yet also take 90 minutes once a month for a relaxing massage at an all-female place. Same with the cleaning service idea. So good. I'll be getting my mommy a massage for Mother's Day at the place I know is her favorite all women place. :-)
I love that these are all realistic, practical gifts that mothers and women will actually love and use! So often I see mother's Day gift lists as just being decorative art/pillows, or jewelry. While art and pillows and jewelry are nice, I think they get old after a couple of years. My mother only has one neck to wear a necklace on, one couch to display throw pillows on, etc. I love finding lists like this one that give ideas for practical, useful gifts that will still be loved and cherished!
