5 Ways To Jump Into Spring πΈπ·π»
Hello friends and happy Tuesday! I hope you all had a lovely weekend. Ours was busy in the best way! We recently decided to invest in a pool heater, which was a total gamechanger. Before, we could really only use our pool comfortably about four months out of the year. Now, we can use it whenever we want. To celebrate, we invited our friends over for a little pool party! Then, Jacob's sister and her family came to visit us from the East Coast and got to see our home and community for the very first time. It was so meaningful to share what our life looks like with them! The following day, my family and Jacob's family all spent time together at the local petting zoo and we all got back in our pool with the kids. It was simply a fantastic weekend.
The craziest part of all that hullabaloo is that Passover starts TOMORROW, and we barely had time to prepare ourselves. It's hard to wrap my head around that the holiday is almost here! And I know that many of you celebrate Easter which is just around the corner as well. Nothing makes me feel more ready for Spring than Passover. Passover even has another name - Chag HβAviv, or The Spring Holiday.
I love Spring. Itβs a time of new beginnings, warmer weather, and so much beauty in nature. And I love to celebrate the change of seasons! Thereβs something so life-enriching about embracing each turn around the sun. So today, I want to share five ways we can all jump into Spring - so let's get into it!
Prepare for Passover or Easter! As I mentioned, these holidays are the epitome o Spring! Getting ready for them is so exciting. You can feel the weather changing, you can feel God's presence. It's a beautiful time of year. Lean into the preparation for the holiday to experience it even more. Buy a new outfit; put up decorations; plan the activities; choose a delicious, light menu. Make the day as Springy as possible and it will be even more memorable!
Put a bouquet on your table. There is nothing more reminiscent of Spring than a beautiful bouquet. You can make your own from flowers in your garden or you can buy one from the store. Choose a bouquet filled with flowers and colors you love. Every time you look at it, you will feel such joy! And bringing flowers into your home is such a lovely way to embrace the season. I love being inside and still feeling nature all around me.
Wear a pretty floral dress. βFlorals for Spring? Groundbreaking.β Miranda Priestly might think you need to reinvent the wheel each season, but I definitely do not! There's a reason everyone loves a floral print in Spring - we are bringing the beauty of nature into our wardrobes. Pull out your favorite floral dress or buy/thrift something new and feel the Spring vibes flow through your veins. There's nothing better!
Get a pedicure. For those of you not in a tropical climate, you are getting closer to sandal weather. The time has come to get those feet out of their boots and into a pair of open-toed shoes! Which means it's time to get a pedicure. Make a trip of it! Bring a favorite magazine or book, read, and relax. Choose a color you love and get excited for the warmer weather that's on its way!
Visit your local botanical garden. Last but not least, as the flowers are beginning to bud, make plans to visit your local botanical garden. Wandering around the flower beds, finding your favorites, seeing the bees pollinating all the different varieties, enjoying the fresh air - itβs simply perfection. If you're into photography, I highly recommend bringing your camera to capture all the beautiful colors in nature!

Chag Pesach Sameach! I might have missed it somewhere but do we have a date and time for the book club?
It's articles like these that make me miss living in the South (of Canada lol). I live in the sub-arctic. It's still very very much winter up here and my sandals won't be coming out for probably another 2 or 3 months! For us, the spring Equinox is the marker of "springtime", but the season really only lasts about 2 weeks, and usually shows up in May. Spring up here is about celebrating days getting longer, and preparing for gardening season, which is very short so we have to have anything we need ready to go so that there's no delays!
