Quote of the Week:
“Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another: ‘What! You too? I thought I was the only one.’” - C.S. Lewis
Classic Style Inspo
I got this little headband at the Dollar Tree, and it made me feel so nineties - which is super in style right now! Throw a headband on when your hair isn’t behaving and you’ll find it adds the perfect amount of flair to your outfit.
Things I’ve Been Loving: The Library!
Today, I’m making a free recommendation that you should all definitely check out. Go to the library! I talk about the library an odd amount here, but I really didn’t take advantage of local libraries until I had Mr. Baby. Go to any and all libraries and take advantage of the ambience, the space, and the books around you. Even if you can’t check something out to bring home, spending time in the library is just the best!

5 Pieces of Technology That I Can't Live Without!
Hello classic crew! I hope you all are having a wonderful Monday. Jacob and I just arrived at his parent’s house, and we’ll be spending three weeks with them, which should be a ton of fun. We feel so blessed that we are able to travel and see them, and Mr. Baby loves both sets of his grandparents, so getting to spend time with Grandma and Grandpa is a boon for us all.
But yesterday was THE big day - we traveled with Mr. Baby, and he did SUCH a great job! I am SO proud of him. We don’t do screen time, so I knew I wanted to come prepared and he just totally embraced the time he got to spend with Mommy and Daddy. We focused on him, gave him our full attention, entertained him and played with him, and it actually turned out to be a wonderful day! Exhausting? Definitely! But only because we were so involved attending to him and chasing him around. It was honestly a day that I’ll remember for a long while.
But now, we can relax. I am excited to be in a new place for a little while and to escape the Florida heat - it’s so hot and humid there, it’s crazy! Here, we get nice breezes and slightly cooler days, which I’m embracing as I sit here in my sweatshirt.
Today, I want to share five pieces of technology that I just love. Of course, we are lucky enough to live in a time where so many of our problems are solved by technology, so these are just a few of my favorites. But I really do enjoy the things I’m about to mention, and I think you will too! Perhaps you’ll find something on this list you didn’t know you needed.
TOZO T-10 Headphones
I have had these wireless earbuds for the longest time, and they are still going strong! They have solid sound quality, they’re comfortable to wear, and they are SO affordable. Whenever anyone is looking for headphone recommendations, I always say these because you truly can’t beat the price and the quality.
Razer Wireless Mouse
If you’re not already using a mouse, you are missing out! I used to struggle using my trackpad, and now that I use this wireless mouse, I’m never going back. It’s really easy to set up and it has a bunch of different speeds for the mouse’s movement on the screen itself so you can actually move faster. It’s comfortable to use and I just love it.
Meat Thermometer/Infrared Cooking Thermometer
Okay, I actually am listing two separate products here but I think they’re both invaluable in the kitchen. A meat thermometer will change the way you cook. No longer will you have to cut into your hamburger or chicken breast to know if it’s done. You simply stick in the meat thermometer and bam! You know if it’s cooked enough. This has truly changed the way I approach cooking meat in my kitchen and I can’t recommend it highly enough.
When Jacob bought this infrared thermometer, I thought it was silly and didn’t understand the point of it. Now, I love it. It’s perfect to test the surface temperature of oil when you’re frying foods to make sure it’s reached that perfect 350 degrees. It’s great to check if your oven is actually accurate when it says it has reached 400 degrees but your food isn’t roasting as you’d hoped. It’s just great to have around, and I find I use it much more than I ever thought I would.
Ninja Foodi
I love our Ninja Foodi so much. The truth is, we often only use it for pressure cooking and sauteing, but I want to learn how to use the other functions as well. A multi-tasker in your kitchen saves so much room and is so useful to have around. We make stews, soups, pulled chicken, chili and even more in this thing and it takes so much less time than it otherwise would. Check it out!
Swiffer Wet Jet
It’s funny how many different floor cleaners I have now that I have a baby. We have our broom, our vacuum, our Swiffer Wet Jet, and our fancy vacuum/mop for total floor cleaning days. But the Swiffer Wet Jet is a long-time favorite because it’s perfect for cleaning up a spill quickly. After Mr. Baby eats, when the floor around him is covered in whatever he didn’t want, I usually sweep up the detritus and then use the Swiffer Wet Jet to wipe up anything sticky or wet. I love how useful and fast it is for those kinds of situations!
I hope you enjoyed my recommendations today - I’d love to know what your favorites are, too! Leave a comment down below.
So, what is the book club selection? New here, so I may not know where to look.
Does anyone know how to sign up for the personal coaching? :) I'm new to the substack <3
