Classic Style Inspo
I literally only ever wear false lashes when I’m doing public speaking, but it makes a huge difference in photography and onstage! I highly recommend these if you are looking for an easy application process. As someone who hates applying falsies, these are the only ones I can use.
Things I’ve Been Loving: Black Dress
I recently bought this dress to wear during my pregnancy because I wanted a dress that fit my bump and I could tie a shirt on top of. Even if you’re not pregnant (this isn’t a maternity dress), this dress is a great option if you want to wear crop tops without showing any skin, tie up a button-down shirt, or even just toss on a zip-up. It fits snugly but it doesn’t show any lumps or bumps!

3 Vegetarian Protein-Based Meals I Eat MOST Days
Hello friends and happy Monday! I am actually pre-writing this week’s post because by the time this goes out, I’ll be on a family reunion! I am so excited to spend quality time with loved ones, give Mr. Baby a chance to play with his cousins, and get away from this INTENSE Florida heat.
Last weekend, Jacob and I had an amazing time with Mr. Baby. He’s not a baby any longer, let me tell you! This boy is a toddler and he means business. He’s starting to climb, he has strong opinions, and he’s active as all get out. Which simply means that I am constantly doing research into fun activities we can do as a family. I discovered a local garden near us that is made for children to explore, and first thing on Sunday morning, the three of us packed up and headed over there. Mr. Baby got to make mud pies, play in a sandpit, and discover a fairy garden. It was the perfect way to start the day, and by the time he went down for his nap he was exhausted.
While he slept, Jacob and I played Hogwarts Legacy since we haven’t played it together in months, and we had a wonderful time. We followed up our busy morning with a busy afternoon to a waterplay park, and Mr. Baby loved every second it. He loves playing in the water, and there was a jungle gym in the shallow end that he just adored. There was even a lazy river that he enjoyed! That evening after Mr. Baby went to sleep, my husband spent some time with his friends and I spent some time with mine. It was, truly, a perfect day.
Today, I wanted to share three easy vegetarian meals I eat almost every day. I love eating balanced meals with protein, carbohydrates, and fruits or vegetables, but prioritizing protein is imperative for my energy. If I don’t get enough protein in a day, I don’t feel my best. As well, because we keep kosher, we don’t mix meat and milk, so I often will have more dairy meals during the day. So let’s keep it quick and easy and hop right in!
Eggs, Toast, And Fruit + Iced Coffee
Each morning, I prepare myself the same delicious breakfast: one slice of toast with butter, two eggs over easy, and whatever fruit I’m in the mood for. Lately, I’ve been making myself (decaf) iced coffee with a dash of creamer and a fair amount of almond milk to create the perfect morning beverage. Eggs are not the highest in protein, but they do have enough for me to make it through lunch even while chasing a toddler around!
I love this breakfast because it is balanced, delicious, easy to prepare and hot in the morning. I think having a warm breakfast is a great start to your day, and I am a big proponent of making something on the stove if you can. As well, when I make fresh challah for Sabbath, I use the bread the rest of the week for toast!
Feel free to use whatever bread you enjoy most - English muffins, fresh white bread, or whole wheat - and fry up your eggs in any style you love. If you prefer scrambled, go for it! Lastly, choose a fruit that will brighten your day. Lately, I’ve been reaching for cherries.
Greek Yogurt and Granola
Greek yogurt is actually an amazing source of protein. It’s odd how much more protein it has than regular yogurt - about 10 extra grams per serving! I love whole milk Chobani Greek yogurt because we don’t prefer to drink skim milk - I find that it makes my skin break out. To make the flavor more palatable, I add agave nectar (to taste) and mix it in. I don’t particularly like the tartness of Greek yogurt, but if I add in a sweetener it makes all the difference. Lastly, I mix in chocolate and peanut butter protein granola, which adds protein and crunch to the meal.
Although this is simple to put together, I find that a bowl of yogurt and granola keeps me full for quite some time and satisfies my craving for something sweet while also filling my protein quota. I started eating this regularly right after Mr. Baby was born while I was breastfeeding, and it’s become a staple in my diet ever since!
Taco Salad
This has become a go-to meal lately, and though you can make it more complicated, I tend to keep it pretty simple. I get my protein from the black beans and the cheese, but if you wanted to add in something like Beyond Meat, you could get even more protein in your meal.
I start with a bowl of chopped romaine lettuce, then add in canned corn, black beans, chopped tomatoes, shredded cheese, crushed tortilla chips, salsa, and thousand island dressing. If I wanted to get a little more fancy, I’d add in fake meat and avocadoes as well. Even without those additions, this taco salad is incredibly filling and satisfying. This makes a delicious dinner and I highly recommend it for you’re looking for something quick and easy to throw together.
